Who Is the Imposter? Spy game

Party games

Free games for an evening with friends

Some party games need a box, a deck, or an account for every person. This one needs the phone in your hand. It is a social word game: find the player who does not know the secret.

What kind of party it fits

It works when people are already in the same room. A dinner table, a living room, a hotel room, or the wait before food arrives. Rounds are short, so you can play two or three and then go back to the conversation.

You do not split into teams on different phones. One person holds the screen, checks a role, and passes it. That is the whole setup.

How to host it

Add names out loud so everyone hears who is in. Pick a category the whole group knows. Places and food are easy for a mixed group. Party Mode is cheekier, with topics like flirting, rumors, and shots, so save it for a group that wants that tone.

Explain the hold-to-reveal button once. After that, the phone can travel around the table. If the room is loud, turn the timer on so the vote actually happens.

Setups that work

Four to six people, Places or Food, one impostor, two minutes. Play twice. New people learn the hold button on the first pass. That is the count the game suggests for a small group.

Seven to nine people, two impostors, three or four minutes, so everyone speaks. Voting for either impostor wins for the group. Turn the timer off when a small group wants a longer argument and will vote when the conversation peaks. Play again deals a new word for the same names.

A link starts a new game

Share the play page when another group wants their own table. The link does not join your round and does not reveal your word. Each phone starts from an empty player list.

This is not a video game with tasks or a public lobby. It is “who never saw the word?” in the same room. The secret-word round explains the clues. Play free starts one.
