Who Is the Imposter? Spy game

Privacy

Privacy

The game is played on your device. This page describes what stays there and what analytics may count.

The round

Player names and the options you choose, such as category and timer, are kept in this browser tab so a refresh during setup does not wipe the list. Secret roles and the current word are kept only in memory. They are not written to browser storage and they are not sent to a server.

Refreshing or leaving during a reveal or a discussion clears that hidden information. Do not expect a saved game on another device. There are no accounts.

Analytics

Visits and actions are counted with Vercel Web Analytics. It does not use cookies. The events are page visits, Play, a started round, a finished round, Share, the App Store link, and the language you pick.

Those events can include a player count, an impostor count, whether the timer was on, and which category was used. They do not include names, the secret word, or who had which role. If another analytics tool is configured, a banner asks before that tool loads.

Contact

Questions about the game can go to chmiel.dev@gmail.com. The iPhone app, when a store link is configured, is a separate install and has its own App Store privacy details.
